Great Wall

Went to the Great Wall today at a location that was less touristy and further into the mountains. We had to take a cable car up the mountain and then a tram to get to the top of the ridge where the Wall snakes along the top. It was amazing to see how the Great Wall was built up on these 1000 meter rock cliffs! After the wall we went to a small village of about 100 people to eat in a villager’s house for lunch. All the food was grown on the farms in the village so it was very fresh and really really good. We had lots of vegetables and a chicken dish that we probably saw clucking around the village before we ate it…

  1. Love getting the comments Pete – Keep them coming. We are thinking so much about all of you and wishing we were there. Jimmy’s great details in the itinerary make things so vivid.
